Charles A. Washington a Scottish-born dancer and choreographer, born in Perth in 1982, embarked on his dance journey at the age of 21 when he was graciously accepted to Rambert School in London. Despite starting his dance education later than many of his peers, Charles humbly excelled in his studies and successfully graduated.

Following his graduation, Charles had the honour of collaborating with esteemed choreographers both nationally and internationally. Among them were renowned figures such as Ross Mckim, Fleur Darkin, Will Tucket, Lucy Burge, Cesc Gelabert, Jan Pauch, Yossi Berg & Oded Graf, Katrin Hall, Roy Assaf, Darren Ellis, Maxim Didenko, and Vladimir Varnava, who recognized his versatility and unwavering dedication to his craft.

In 2016, Charles established his own freelance company, Pinkmetalpetal Productions, through which he has created notable works performed at esteemed theaters. These include 'Witch way Macbeth?' and 'Content' at Staatstheatre Braunschweig, 'The Spirit Bird' and 'finding now' at LOT Theatre, and 'ME' in collaboration with Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden and Palucca University of Dance Dresden. His creations have also been featured at Projektheater and ARTE: United We Stream, including 'Performing Maleness: Uncoding me' and Acid the Opera, as well as 'Spinner Light' and 'Post Ironic Moustache' at Festspielhaus Hellerau.

In his pursuit of artistic growth, Charles achieved a Master of Arts in choreography in 2018. Furthermore, he recently concluded his Miesterklasse research, titled "We are all a subculture?," at Palucca University of Dance Dresden in 2021. With deep gratitude and a genuine passion for dance and choreography, Charles A. Washington continues to contribute his unique perspective and artistic vision to the world of performing arts.
