Charles A Washington

Charles A. Washington was born in Perth, Scotland, in 1982. He started his dance education at the late age of 21 when he was accepted unconditionally to Rambert School in London. After graduating, he worked nationally and

internationally with prestigious choreographers such as Ross Mckim, Fleur Darkin, Will Tucket, Lucy Burge, Cesc

Gelabert, Jan Pauch, Yossi Berg & Oded Graf, Katrin Hall, Roy Assaf, Darren Ellis, Maxim Didenko and Vladimir

Charles created his freelance company Pinkmetalpetal Productions in 2012. His latest works include 'Witch way

Macbeth?' and 'Content' Staatstheatre Braunschweig; 'The Spirit Bird' and 'finding now' LOT theater; ‘ME’

incorporation with Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden and the Palucca University of Dance Dresden; M ~ {Birnam woods} Projektheater and ARTE : United We Stream, ‘Performing Maleness: Uncoding me’ and Acid the Opera at the  Projektheater; ‘Spinner Light’ and 'Post Ironic Moustache' Festspielhaus Hellerau

 

In 2018 Charles graduated with a MA in choreography, and in 2021 he completed his Miesterklasse research called “We are all a subculture?” at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden.

 

Kerstin Moller
Production Manager/Dramaturge

Studied choreography and contemporary dance, as well as Media Art and has a Masters in Urban Sociology and International Cultural Diplomacy from  Goldsmiths, University of London. She worked as a choreographic and production assistant at the Staatstheater Braunschweig under artistic director Jan Pusch

for the dance piece Unstet by choreographer Ilka von Häfen. As an administrator and studio assistant for Trip SpaceProjects - contemporary dance training, performance venue and yoga studio- in

London and worked in this capacity and as a receptionist at the Goethe Institute London, further she worked in museum communication at the Center for Arts and Media in Karlsruhe and as a production assistant for Lucy Thane's live dance film "I am not a Village "in London in 2018. Since 2016 she works with Charles Washington for Pinkmetalpetal Productions.
