Charles A Washington
Was born in Perth Scotland in 1982. He started his dance education at the late age of 21 when he was accepted unconditionally to Rambert School in London. After graduating he worked nationally and internationally with prestigious choreographers such as Ross Mckim, Fleur Darkin, Will Tucket, Lucy Burge, Cesc Gelabert, Jan Pauch, Yossi Berg & Oded Graf, Katrin Hall, Roy Assaf, Darren Ellis and others.
Charles created his freelance company Pinkmetalpetal Productions in 2012. His works include Kahullamari in residence NUN art Barcelona, 'Spirit of the Salmon' and 'The Pursuit of the Stag' commissioned by Pitlochry tartan, 'Witch way Macbeth?' and 'Content' Staatstheatre Braunschweig, 'The Spirit Bird' produced by the LOT theatre, 'finding now' co-produced by the LOT theatre and funded by the city of Braunschweig and ME that was performed at HfBK incorporation with the Palucca School and HfBK. His latest work will revisit his research into the play, Macbeth.
Studied choreography and contemporary dance, as well as Media Art and has a Masters in Urban Sociology and International Cultural Diplomacy from Goldsmiths, University of London. She worked as a choreographic and production assistant at the Staatstheater Braunschweig under artistic director Jan Pusch
for the dance piece Unstet by choreographer Ilka von Häfen. As an administrator and studio assistant for Trip SpaceProjects - contemporary dance training, performance venue and yoga studio- in
London and worked in this capacity and as a receptionist at the Goethe Institute London, further she worked in museum communication at the Center for Arts and Media in Karlsruhe and as a production assistant for Lucy Thane's live dance film "I am not a Village "in London in 2018. Since 2016 she works with Charles Washington for Pinkmetalpetal Productions.
